Favorite Scriptures

I find it really interesting, that despite reading the Bible over and over again, I find scriptures that I swear I never read before. There are also scriptures that now resonate in my heart more intensly and bounce around in my head, reminding me that my God, Jehovah, is my Father and Friend and He truly cares about what I care about.

I’m going to add these scriptures here and review this page often.

They sooth my broken heart and give me hope.

(Psalm 25:16-18)

Turn your face to me, and show me favor; For I am solitary and afflicted. 17 Distresses of my heart have multiplied; From the stresses upon me O bring me out. 18 See my affliction and my trouble, And pardon all my sins.

(Philippians 4:13)

For all things I have the strength by virtue of him who imparts power to me.

Romans 15:4-6)

( For all the things that were written aforetime were written for our instruction, that through our endurance and through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope. 5 Now may the God who supplies endurance and comfort grant YOU to have among yourselves the same mental attitude that Christ Jesus had, 6 that with one accord YOU may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Matthew 11:29, 30.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am mild-tempered and lowly in heart, and you will find refreshment for your souls. For my yoke is kindly and my load is light.—

(Isaiah 48:17-19)

This is what Jehovah has said, your Repurchaser, the Holy One of Israel: “I, Jehovah, am your God, the One teaching you to benefit [yourself], the One causing you to tread in the way in which you should walk. 18 O if only you would actually pay attention to my commandments! Then your peace would become just like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea. 19 And your offspring would become just like the sand, and the descendants from your inward parts like the grains of it. One’s name would not be cut off or be annihilated from before me.”

(Isaiah 25:8 & 9)

He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces. And the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for Jehovah himself has spoken [it]. 9 And in that day one will certainly say: “Look! This is our God. We have hoped in him, and he will save us. This is Jehovah. We have hoped in him. Let us be joyful and rejoice in the salvation by him.”

(Isaiah 58:11)

And Jehovah will be bound to lead you constantly and to satisfy your soul even in a scorched land, and he will invigorate your very bones; and you must become like a well-watered garden, and like the source of water, the waters of which do not lie.

(John 5:28-29)

Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.

(Isaiah 43:2)

In case you should pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not flood over you. In case you should walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, neither will the flame itself singe you.
